Joseph Alan Fiol
Joseph Alan Fiol is a senior at Tampa Bay Technical High School in Tampa, Florida, and will graduate with a 6.0 grade point average. Joseph excelled in academics by taking honors and advanced placement courses throughout high school. He is a member of the National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, and BETA Club. Joseph is an alumni of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Rising Star Academy and attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security in Washington D.C.
Joseph serves as the Commanding Officer for his school’s Navy Junior ROTC. He was recently recognized as a finalist for the 2016 Hillsborough County Cadet of the Year. He graduated from the Admiral Farragut NJROTC Leadership Academy. He takes great pride in being the units Armed Exhibition Drill Team Commander, Color Guard Drill Team Commander, and a member of three other completion teams. He had the distinct honor to present colors for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, the Veteran’s Day Parade and several Hillsborough County School Board events.
Joseph gives back to the community by participating in the annual Run for the Fallen, Relay for Life, Cancer Society Walk, Strides for Education and other various charitable events through the BETA Club.
Joseph has been accepted and will join three older brothers, Francisco, Michael and Gabriel at the University of Florida where he plans to major in Mechanical Engineering.
Joseph is the son of Plant City Police Officer and retired Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Clemente Fiol, Jr. and wife of 25 years, Karen.
