TPD – Kara Chaffin
Kara Chaffin is a senior at Zephyrhills High School in Zephyrhills, Florida, and will graduate with a 4.4 grade point average. Kara has challenged herself by taking honors and advanced placement courses since her freshman year. She has been dually enrolled at Pasco-Hernando Community College since her junior year.
Kara has involved herself in numerous extracurricular activities including National Honors Society, Student Council, and Interact Club through her school, as well as Leaders Club at her local YMCA. She has been further involved with her school by running track and playing varsity level soccer.
Kara gives back to her community by volunteering in various events with Interact Club and Rotary. She also volunteers at the YMCA as a youth soccer coach helping young children enrich their lives through sports. While serving as Student Council secretary, she has devoted many hours to planning and organizing school events.
Kara has been accepted at Florida State University where she plans to pursue a Pre-Med major.
Kara is the daughter of Tampa Police Department Officer Dan Chaffin and his wife, Lisa.
