Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Reserve II Lieutenant Todd Adams was born in Clearwater, Florida, and at age 15 became responsible for his mother and siblings after his father passed away. Working to support his family and with the guidance of his mentor, Todd learned the importance of hard work and perseverance.
At age 21, he started his own structural concrete business which led to a number of other ventures and tremendous success. With a deep rooted desire to “give back”, he helped the sheriff’s office with the search of a missing child in the Brandon area and was empowered to begin a new chapter after listening to remarks by Sheriff Gee at the search scene.
With only a single obstacle remaining to become a Reserve Deputy, his high school diploma, Todd returned to school at age 45, graduated with his high school diploma and became a Reserve II Deputy.
Contributing more than 1800 hours last year to the Tampa Bay community as a Reserve II Deputy, Todd now has the opportunity to lead and inspire others as the Deputy Commander of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Reserve II Program.
