University of South Florida Officer of the Year

During his five years with the University of South Florida Police Department, Officer Kevin Boyd has proven himself to be an integral member of the patrol division.  As a Field Training Officer, Kevin has instructed new officers fresh from the academy, and veteran officers coming from other law enforcement agencies.  With numerous years of campus law enforcement experience prior to coming to USF under his belt, he has been a welcome addition to the force.

 Officer Boyd is an instructor in several disciplines, including defensive tactics and firearms.  He is a member of the USFPD’s newly formed tactical program, and has recently attended courses of instruction in areas specifically designed to increase the efficiency of such programs.  His investigations are thorough, and his work ethic is beyond reproach.  It is for these, and other reasons that Kevin Boyd was selected as the University of South Florida Police Department’s Officer of the Year.
