Tampa International Airport Police Department Officer of the Year - Investigator Beth Baucom Zolciak
Investigator Beth Baucom Zolciak is a six-year veteran of the Tampa
International Airport Police Department and is currently assigned to
the Professional Standards Unit.
Investigator Baucom, along with other team members, were instrumental
with the department obtaining reaccreditation with the Commission on
Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). She obtained
a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Central Florida and is
currently pursuing a Master’s Degree.
Beth is an exceptional investigator and a certified Forensic Law
Enforcement Polygraph Examiner. She was elected to the Florida
Polygraph Association’s Board of Directors on June 6, 2010. She
has assisted detectives from Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Pasco
County Sheriff’s Office, and other local departments on cases involving
homicide, sexual battery on juveniles, and other violent crimes.
Beth assisted these agencies in both interrogation of suspects and
administering the subsequent polygraph examinations.
Investigator Beth Baucom Zolciak is a well-known and accomplished
bagpiper who has received numerous accolades for performing with
dignity and grace at services for fallen law enforcement
officers. She has competed nationally and internationally
throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland, and Scotland.
Beth’s positive attitude, dedication to excellence,
and commitment to duty set a fine example for others
to emulate.
