University of South Florida Officer of the Year - Officer Scott Parker

Officer Scott Parker has been with the University of South Florida Police Department for three years. Prior to that, he served in the United States Navy.  While at USF,  Officer Parker has worked diligently and takes great pride in his success when it comes to traffic enforcement, winning the agency’s “Click it or Ticket Award” for 2010 and leading the agency two years in a row with the most DUI arrests.

Officer Parker’s dedication is illustrated by his willingness to assist where ever and whenever he may be needed, volunteering for extra duty events and participating in multiagency efforts addressing impaired driving.  Officer Parker makes it a point to make as many contacts as possible throughout his community addressing public safety and offering crime prevention advice when possible.

Officer Parker’s activity level has remained consistent throughout his various assignments in patrol.  While on average he holds the most arrests on his squad, he still finds time to interact with his community and is quick to assist his squad members.
