Our heroes. They are our neighbors, our friends. The unknown faces we pass on the street. The person we kiss goodnight. Everyone has a hero.

Our Heroes Luncheon honors our everyday heroes — the brave men and women of Hillsborough County's law enforcement and fire rescue.  Those who help us, protect us, serve us, and save us, each and every day. Those who come to our rescue when we need them. They might not wear a cape on their backs, but they wear courage on their chest and bravery on their sleeve. And we thank them for this. For being stronger, faster, and more courageous than most; for giving themselves for the sake of strangers. We honor them.
